Aston Graduates' Association (affectionately known as AGA) was formed over sixty years ago as an independent body to enable graduates to maintain social contact with friends and to keep in touch with their University. In fact, 2009 was our 60th Anniversary!

There is a £5 annual membership fee (see Application Page), which is used to cover admin costs. Members may wish to make suggestions at the AGM or to the committee for further awards/donations to either the undergraduates or the University. In the past, AGA has made numerous awards to the University, the last of which was a large donation towards the cost of the AGA clock which can be seen left, on the outside of the south wing.

The Association is managed by a committee of members who give their time freely for the benefit of all.

AGA is independent of the University but has close links to the Alumni Office, and several of AGA's Committee are also members of University committees: this enables us to keep up to date with the latest developments at Aston, and to communicate opinions to University leaders.

Electronic Communications: Important Update
In order to reduce costs and to try to provide a more efficient and environmentally friendly method of communication, AGA is experimenting with sending details of meetings and events to members using email. In order to ensure that you receive such communications, it is vitally important that you take some steps. Firstly, you need to notify the Alumni Office that you wish to receive communications electronically. Secondly, you will need to add webmaster@astongraduates.org.uk to email address books for the systems you use. If you can access your email via a web browser interface (in other words, webmail), you will need to add this address to the browser address book as well as the one on your own computer. If you require any assistance at all with any of this, please do not hesitate to contact the Webmaster (details below).
