Aston Graduates' Association (affectionately known as AGA) was formed over sixty years ago as an independent body to enable graduates to maintain social contact with friends and to keep in touch with their University. In fact, 2009 was our 60th Anniversary! There is a £5 annual membership fee (see Application Page), which is used to cover admin costs. Members may wish to make suggestions at the AGM or to the committee for further awards/donations to either the undergraduates or the University. In the past, AGA has made numerous awards to the University, the last of which was a large donation towards the cost of the AGA clock which can be seen left, on the outside of the south wing. The Association is managed by a committee of members who give their time freely for the benefit of all. AGA is independent of the University but has close links to the Alumni Office, and several of AGA's Committee are also members of University committees: this enables us to keep up to date with the latest developments at Aston, and to communicate opinions to University leaders.
